Disclaimer
FixUpList is a product of Pali Ventures, Inc. This page explains what FixUpList is not, so nothing on the site is mistaken for advice, endorsement, or a guarantee.
FixUpList is an organizational tool, not professional advice
FixUpList helps you capture, track, share, and coordinate work around a home. Nothing in the product — item suggestions, starter-pack templates, AI-generated insights or drafts, or anything else — is professional advice of any kind: not construction, engineering, electrical, plumbing, legal, insurance, or safety advice.
For anything involving safety — gas smells, exposed or sparking wiring, structural movement, active leaks near electricity, mold at scale — stop and contact a qualified professional or your utility's emergency line. Don't rely on an app, ours included.
AI features are suggestions, not diagnoses
Photo Insights and AI drafts are generated by a machine from limited information (a photo, a short description). They can be wrong, incomplete, or miss what matters. They are a starting point for your own judgment and for conversations with qualified pros — never a diagnosis, a scope of work, a quote, or a substitute for an on-site assessment. You own and are responsible for anything you send to someone else, including AI-drafted messages you edit and share.
The directory is informational — no endorsement, no verification
The Home Pro Directory and business pages exist to help you research local businesses. Plainly:
- A listing is not an endorsement. Being listed is free. No business pays to be listed or ranked; the default ordering is neutral.
- We do not verify businesses. We don't check licenses, insurance, bonding, qualifications, or work quality — for unclaimed listings or claimed ones. "Claimed" means the business manages its own page; it does not mean FixUpList vetted it.
- Unclaimed listings are compiled from public business information (such as the business's own website) and may be outdated or incomplete. They are labeled as unclaimed and not verified by FixUpList.
- Do your own diligence before hiring anyone: confirm licensing with your state or county licensing authority, ask for proof of insurance, and check references. Requirements vary by trade and location.
- We are not a party to your hire. Any agreement, payment, or dispute between you and a contractor (or between a contractor and a client) is strictly between you. FixUpList is not a broker, agent, or guarantor for anyone listed.
If you are a business and want your listing corrected or removed, use the link on any listing page or go to /pros/correction. Corrections are typically handled within a couple of business days and removals within up to ten business days; we may hide a listing while we review a request.
Content accuracy
People you share with — homeowners, contractors, collaborators — supply their own content, and public business pages are written by the businesses themselves. We don't review or fact-check user content, and we make no promises about its accuracy.
Early access
FixUpList is in early access and provided as-is: features may change, and occasional bugs or downtime are part of a beta. Export your data from Settings whenever you want a copy. See the Terms of Use for the details, and the Privacy Policy for how your data is handled.
